Collage and Construction
Some very exciting things have been happening in the Pre-primary classroom this term. When we arrived to begin the term or teachers have added some new areas to explore. One new learning space is the collage table. At this area we have been using recycles materials to create and make wonderful creations. We are learning to use the new equipment safely. For example, we are learning to wipe our glue brush and to sit down when cutting with scissors.
We have explored the new construction toy mobile this term in the construction area. This new item has helped us to investigate the different parts that vehicles and machines have. We have been creating our own vehicles and machines using the mobile pieces.
How Does My Garden Grow?
In the ECE outside area we have a garden. We have been watching the fruit and vegetables grow all year. This term we have used some of the produce to create delicious drinks and tasty things to eat. We used the lemons from the tree to make old fashioned lemonade. It tasted delicious.
Lent and Easter celebration in Pre-Primary
This year to begin our Lent journey we received our ash crosses on our forehead in our classroom. We celebrated a liturgy in our classroom and then Mr Maher came to give us a cross on our forehead with the blessed ashes.
At the end of the Lent season, we celebrate Easter and the resurrection. The Pre-Primary class participated in an easter egg hunt and easter colouring competition. We were so lucky that we even received a visit from the easter bunny who delivered some chocolate eggs and award the prize winners the prizes.
We are proud of our children and all that they achieve and share with them a great pride in our school.
