The Tuesday before Ash Wednesday is known as Shrove, or Pancake, Tuesday. On this day people prepare for the start of Lent by using up all the good things in their cupboards. They do this so they are ready to fast like Jesus did for forty days. During class we were able to decorate a pancake with hundreds-and-thousands and eat it! This was to help us prepare for Lent and Easter, when Jesus died on the cross and rose again.
